This Evidence to Policy note summarizes the findings of an impact evaluation of Argentina's innovative health program for vulnerable pregnant women and children - Plan Nacer. The impact evaluation tested whether providing a temporary increase in financial incentives would encourage providers to initiate care for pregnant women in the first trimester and whether any behavior changes would continue even after the increase stopped.
