Many countries are progressing with their implementation of Results Based Financing approaches in the health sector, and initial results are promising. Integrating the approach in a wider health financing strategy for the health sector is essential. During this seminar, the Permanent Secretary from Zimbabwe presented the initial results of their RBF program as well as the government’s strategies for financial sustainability. The World Bank Team Leader for Zimbabwe discussed how the program fits into the health financing strategy for the sector and the RBF coordinator for CORDAID shared multi-country experience in sustaining successful RBF programs in Africa.
